Concept Art.
It all started in the dark oblivion of my brain, my mind and soul began to brew an idea to write a fantasy trilogy series. Think Game of Thrones meets Lord of the Rings with a cosmic twist. In fact, at the writers workshop I go to, they even decided to create a new genre especially for my style of writing, a "Cosmic Fantasy", so here we are.
Being an advanced nerd on all levels, I started generating prompts from my ideas and concepts for the book. One thing led to another and now I have finished Part 3 of The Alchemistress Inception Series and I'm generating concept art for what happens next, after the inception is concluded, because as you might know inception means the beginning...
That is just how my commercial brain works, and my background comes into play; everything needs a product placement or, at the very least, a financial goal or an objective to generate leads for whatever and achieve a particular commercial result. Here, I'm selling the book, creating a film, writing short stories, and publicising my workflow on social media, plus growing my presence and credibility by adding value to my audience.
So here is my baby! My first AI cinematic conception, conceived via Artificial Intelligence and its cutting-edge technology. A fruit of my continuous AI development and relentless labour in pursuit of owning all generative AI knowledge there is out there!
Execution and Software.
As a novice back then, six months ago, when I first tried generative AI for video, I was intimidated by lip-syncing, character development, applying the correct camera moves, and so on. There weren't as many options back then, and I was unaware of gen AI's capacity. You must realise that the time in the AI world flows more like light-years; the Gregorian calendar is obsolete for us, lol. It all happens so fast!
In fact, my first model for gen AI was Filmora believe me or not. That is how The Alchemistress Inception Series. Part 1 got birthed through (here's the link to this lovely yet now already cringy production). Nevertheless, Part 2, The Battle Within, came out a couple of months later, upgraded to 4 k, and a bit more of a very inconsistent character came out to play. (here' the link)
Why am I telling you all this? I want to emphasise the rapid progress we're making and how the new tech upgrades have resolved all my previous challenges and enhanced my workflows as a marketer, filmmaker, and storyteller.
In this week's blog, I'm going to focus on new software updates and interface rewamp on the Imagine Art platform, new models like Nano Banana and Seedream, start-to-end frame and Veo3 and Kling's lip syncing. I will be breaking down my cinematic masterpiece called The Alchemistress Inception Series. Part 3. Checkmate. We're talking here about 5 separte episodes I deployed each day of this week beginning with Sunday morning and ending today. Today I'm implementing a new workflow to continue this project, hence the break in between. I am basically redesigning my main characters using an entirely different process. This time I'm training a model to be my character. Please don't ask, I'm a masochist and workaholic basically, deets in the next blog post.
Veo3 broke the internet; the AI game attained a whole new level. It was like when The Matrix came out and the gates to entirely new consciousness levels were set for all cinematic productions afterwards. Suddenly, the bar was high for others to follow. I rarely come across failed generations anymore. It could be due to my prompting reaching a mastery level, but it could also be because the AI game is strong across all levels.
Google, aka Neo of AI, then set up the new standard with Nano Banana, only to have it shattered two weeks later by Seedream V5 and Pro, the Morpheus of things and king of the underdogs. Oh well, c'est la vie as the French say. Show must go on and the winner takes it all!
All of the above split my project between each other with lip syncing help from Kling and did a pretty good job. Check the graph below. However, as there is no rest for the wicked, there is always room for improvement.
There was a point where I was using Kling to develop the ideas until I discovered the all-in powerhouse Imagine Art AI and became their CPP. That's when the game changed. Having multiple models on hand, simultaneously generating storyboards for comparison, and the ability to choose the best variant was like watching The Matrix for the first time and never looking back. Having access to a large and vibrant community where you can bounce ideas and ask questions, feel supported, looked after and appreciated was a cherry on the cake. Nowadays, I'm using Kling built into the Imagine Art, utilising its best feature so far, which is Start to End Frame, natively available via Imagine Art. As are all other generative AI models like .... and more.
The platform is constantly transforming and updating to suit ever-changing workflows for us creators, and I find this very considerate and forward-thinking. UI is everything in an overly domain-saturated world, only the strongest will survive, and the ability to adapt to change is crucial in avoiding the inevitable apocalypse of old systems and structures. For the below Video
The Alchemistress' opponent - Lilithara is seated at a vintage marble chessboard near an ancient pyramid site full of pyramids, hieroglyphs, and cosmic skies paved with planets like Saturn and supernovas. She has the chessboard in front of her and is about to make a 'checkmate' move and win the game. The chess pieces are black and white, intricately encrusted with blue and pink jewels, suggesting a high-stakes game of strategy between kings and queens. The atmosphere is tense and ominous, as if something is about to happen. Hyper-realistic, high-detail fantasy portrait in dark romantic art style with cyberpunk twist, moody cinematic lighting, 4K resolution, fantasy realism, gothic elegance, editorial style."
Conclusion.
It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or where you've been. Within the next 5 minutes, there will be another new AI model to play with. Stay curious. We are all learning from each other. Stay humble because your biggest masterpiece will most prob seem cringy within the next month, taking the way things are going. Stay calm and keep creating. The future of AI looks exciting and wonderful, and yes, they are going to take over! Haha, so we don't have to work as hard, and we can enjoy our simple human existence.
Yours Truly,
Natalia The Alchemistress of Prompts.
